it's early morning.
you wake up to new
and strange sounds.
you remember;
- the expedition.
lightyears away from
home.
"home". the word has
a bitter taste. you're
never going back.
continuing this
wandering. there is
no way out. you start
walking.
you pass a  small
creek. birds, or at
least you can think
of them as such, lift
to the air. the colors
aren't right. the
earth is moving. the
colors are drifting in
the wind. there's a
beach nearby. you
lived near the beach,
once. in another
galaxy. often since
you arrived you've
wondered. is there
anyone else here?
so far it's just you
and the robot. and
the spacecraft waiting
in deep space. you
think. you look up at
the sky. what if they
have left you here?
small animals scuttle
along the path you're
following. you leave
the beach. the wind
flies through your
hair, shaking a plant,
bringing you a sound
of windchimes. it
starts to rain.
thunder rolls across
the sky.
it's over before you
manage to think.
you're back by the
creek.
you send the daily
report to the ship
above. they pass it
on,out towards space.
who knows who'll ever
hear this?
no way out...


a dream..
you're standing in a
field.
you call out to the
sky. telling it that
you're down there.
there is no answer
that you can hear.
no response.
you feel eyes in your
back. you're afraid
to turn.
you have been doing
this a long time.
