Awesome oldschool module. 80s, all stuff were cool
This tune is the same age as me... yeah. Well anyway, this is pretty good even of it's time. Has this kind of mood where you will really think if we would survive 2010. Three years later, we're still here :P However, I don't like the faster and off-key segment of it from 6:01 onwards. Kind of ruins it for me. Overall, it's worth a listen.
Oh man, I used to listen to this when I was about 9-10 in my 386 pc with a soundblaster pro! It was the beginnings of my love for electronic music. I felt this was so futuristic and dramatic, it made me dream of sci-fi stuff. 2010 was such a long way away, and now it's 2012... Amazing tune.

I've been looking for this for years and finally thought to search for "1989", and here it is! This is the quintessential mod to me, no crazy effects, no composite samples, just straightforward composition, but the result comes together as genuine music. Could the format do more? Sure, but.... why?
