It Begins After Silence Composed and Arranged by Nebularia This one is probably my best attempt in creating orchestral sound so far - I actually understood what I did. Additionally, I think I finally made both a good starting and ending. And I used quite a bit of time for designing generally. So, I decided to show you the CPU-guzzling techniques I use. :) This tune uses *really* many channels and I recommend you have at least 130 channels available. Otherwise you might want to use the disk writer device. Also, PLEASE avoid using external IT players with this module! The only external IT player that produces an acceptable output is XMPlay, although it's not perfect, either. These are the players I've tested: - XMPlay 1.7 (almost correct) - ModPlug Player 1.43 (slightly annoying) - Winamp 2.65 with Nullsoft Module Decoder 1.3 (very annoying) Although XMPlay does the job pretty well, I recommend that you stick with Impulse Tracker 2.14p5. I squeezed the file size of this module about 65% of the original! I hope I managed to retain decent sound quality. Some sample associations may seem a little weird in the instruments because I removed some samples of the multisample instruments. ------------------------------- I would like to dedicate this piece to the memory of my cousin Mikael Warvas. Warm thanks for the inspiration you gave me! Bye for now... ------------------------------- Samples from Sweetwater's K2000 Sounds Archive (http://www.sweetwater.com/k2000/sounds.html), Soundwave (http://tilt.largo.fl.us/samples/samples.html), MAZ (http://www.maz-sound.com/), myself and some unknown sources (sorry for the missing credits). ------------------------------- Copyright: This composition is (C) 2000 Tomi Jylhä-Ollila. This is one of the best modules of all time due to its extraordinary compositional and instrumental quality. It's been helping me cope with a loss. Thank you.
