"Eternal Lullaby" By Rikimbo (aka Eric Himbeault) July 6th, 2011 -------------------- Best playback with XMPlay. It's been a while since I've actually finished something and felt good enough about it to release it. I don't think this one will appeal to too many people, but I'm happy with it. I've been wanting to make something using a Rhodes piano sample for a long time, to try and access that beautiful mellow sound that they can make. This is the closest I'm going to get to that, I think. As with a lot of my music, this piece is less about the melody, and more about the texture. Appreciate the mood I've tried to create, and let your mind wander... I guess I shouldn't really call this a lullaby, since lullabies are usually sung and have clear melodies... Oh well, it has the right tone, and it is a sleepy tune. Close enough. Greets to all of my old Mod Archive friends. Hi to those who remember me, but also hi to those who don't. And hi to all those that I haven't met yet. :) Enjoy. -------------------- Samples: 01 - Neon/Zool (from an unreleased track) 02 - jackstrebor (freesound.org) 03 - RealRhodesSounds (freesound.org) 04 - Jeffrey Lim (jeff93.it) 05 - ? 06 - Jerry (obsolesc.xm) 07 - DKifer (freesound.org) 08 - ProSamples CD 09 - Vibe (vibe-suw.it) -------------------- rikimbo_gmail.com email or add me on MSN!

uuh! this thing floats, hovers and wavers on! Very relaxed. Just what I needed for my hangover :). Here's whiney old Woolters though: some chords of the e-piano are a bit too low; they clash with the bass, making my pretty outstanding sennheiser headphones go WRZZZRZRZ :)
