Listening to this song as an .mp3 or something; you'll think it's a mediocre dubstep/rap song with crappy lyrics and some not-so-amazing beats.

Realizing it's a .mod file and runs on the Commodore Amiga; that's the kicker. The fact they manage to squeeze this out of the four 8-bit sample channels and it sounds this realistic is beyond me.

So from a musical standpoint, not that great, but from a technical one, it's phenomenal.

Would recommend listening/viewing it in a tracker as opposed to just listening, as it has some funny tracker visuals and seems much more impressive just seeing the four channels.

This absolutely sucks. Cringy lyrics along with awful dubstep. "1 bit 2 bit 3 bit more, 7 bit 8 bit no more" is the worst line ever written. If you wanna have a good laugh, this is the track to listen to.

I basically despise this genre of music, but the artistic talent displayed is phenomenal, and I hate to admit it's actually, as people my age say, "a bop" (i.e. good music). This is the song that convinced me that I owe the 4/31 gods a sacrifice.

Professional tracker indeed. Great sample work, lots of vocal samples and great pattern animations. Content-wise probably not my favourite from the compo, but it's evident why it won.
