Overall Impression (4/10)

Too loud. Too many channels repeating the same thing. Not totally a bad tune though, as it's interesting for the techy kind of sound. I could imagine this slipped into a set at a rave.

Strong points: Samples used are interesting. Basic use of instrument envelopes does help.

Weak points: Too many channels repeating the same samples, and as a result too loud and distorted. Not much variation.

Not necessarily something I would listen to by choice, I could imagine that it would sit well as a breather in a set of other more complex tunes by a DJ performing live somewhere. Not terrible, but not great either, I give it a slightly below average 4 overall.

Technique, Arrangement, Composition (2/10)

Too many repeated channels, distorts the output. I understand this may be a desired effect for this kind of music, and that's why I'm giving it a 2 and not a 1 here. However, it's basically a lot of the same thing to push loudness and distortion rather than doing anything interesting. The samples used are interesting, but by the end of the song, due to the lack of variation and technique, I don't feel like listening to it again.

Development (5/10)

The piece is mixed tonally alright for the sounds used and what the composer is going for, the only problem is too many channels repeating the same thing which causes phase smear and distortion. Not much variation. Samples are good for what the composer is going for. Panning isn't very creative but does it really need to be for this piece, I don't think so, I think it's alright as-is. Could use a bit of a build up and break down and climax rather than just one kind of flat plane throughout.

Creativity (4/10)

The samples are interesting, I give points for that. Also the instrument envelopes help, which I also give points for. Otherwise, the piece isn't that interesting as a whole, but would work well with other more complex pieces of this genre in a DJ set. There isn't much creativity or variation going on, mostly just in-your-face volume.

Enjoyment (3/10)

I wouldn't listen to this again personally, but I could see where it would work in a DJ set. I think it works on a level that it could fill a gap between two very complex or intense tracks, so I give it points for that. Otherwise, as a stand-alone piece, I don't rate it very highly.
