I feel that the artist is trying to find their "own" sound, and this is a work on the pathway towards that goal. I listened in monitoring headphones and had to turn the volume all the way down, because there is a harshness to some of the samples, I think. Especially that synth in the middle... I'd give it another listen, if not for that jagged-sounding synth.
