The original music using about 8 FM channels or so simultaneously + drum channels. In this ProTracker mod I had to ofcourse limit it to only 4 channels.
My technique here was to have the drums and bass playing simultaneously on the same channel. Using a mixed sample with both kickdrum+bass and snaredrum+bass as well as a sample with only the bass when playing it separately. I let the notes glide into the desired notes very fast to try to fool the ears into believing that the bassnotes playing freely regardless of that the drums playing in their same frequency.
The notes that makes up chords I mixed ofcourse also together to have playing only in only one channel. - DJ METUNE
