I've had trouble with the Z00-Z7F interchangeable macros the most, but luckily I figured it out through the making of this module. This module is one stepping stone out of hundreds into learning .mptm, as well as .it and .s3m. Also, the filter and resonance macros (ZXX) rocks!!! ________________________________________________________________________ ________________________________/Story\_________________________________ Before this, I was planning to make an .xm track (and had even started working on it), but halfway through, I felt limited...sort of trapped in my own bubble. Was it my fault for being a stickler for .xm? Anyways, I had another melody on the top of my head, and decided to make it in another format, thus the unexpected turn to .mptm. Why .mptm? I want to try to break format limits but also making it playable in all players meant for that format. Seeing that .it doesn't support plugins, as well as the assignable Zxx macros, I went to .mptm. Quite an enjoyable experience working with .mptm...I learnt a good bunch of .s3m's side of commands (as opposed to knowing only .xm's). By the way, I just found out my childhood game: Thinkin' Things Collection 2 And let me tell you, it was fun! Especially while I was working on this module. Instrument 13 (0Dh) was taken from the game file...I think it fits nicely. So yea, that's the story and inspiration of this .mptm module. ________________________________________________________________________ I feel like making an extended (alternate?) version. It's going to be longer and more atmospheric-based, just like trance...well...maybe it's going to be straight up trance. Who knows?
