flute hi.strings.hi.qual snare.roll snare orchestra&brass&kettle kettledrum.3.Hard Trumpet.pat hit.cello.lower Crash Valor by Arcturus for Lamerquest 2:13 before loop Since this won't go into MOD format, it won't be used. This tune sounds more classical than my previous two attempts, "Knights of the Round Table" and "Imperial Law"

Artist's Comments
I have absolutely no memory of what “Lamerquest” was, but presumably it was a game that somebody I knew was working on. Given the name, it was probably somebody on R-Squared, possibly Wurkir, since he had a penchant for using the word “lamer.” Naturally, it never saw the light of day.
Of all my Quasar-era songs, I have a rough idea of when I composed them, and in what order - but not this one. I really have no clue when exactly I did this one. It could have been one of my first or one of my last Quasar songs. According to the save date, I last modified this song in March of 1997, which would have been at the end of my Quasar songs, but more likely I completed it earlier than that. Unfortunately, S3M format songs have no edit history log to give me further clues.
From the comments, I deduce that I was supposed to compose in MOD format for the game and this in an S3M, thus was not actually usable. I’ve never actually made any music in MOD format. I mentioned two other orchestral pieces I composed: Knights of the Round (one of my earliest songs) and one I have no memory of, Imperial Law. I don’t have a file for that one anywhere and I’m not sure I ever completed it, so all I can remember is the name.
This song, Valor, was probably intended to be the main title music. It works out reasonably well as an orchestral piece, surprisingly. Some of the samples come from Skaven’s Catch that goblin!!, but I don’t remember the origin of the other samples. And, since it’s game music, it doesn’t have a coherent ending and loops back to an earlier point in the song. Overall, it’s a decent effort. I didn’t attempt a proper orchestral piece again until many years later.
