The track is smooth and groovy, with awesome dynamics and chord work. The piano and acoustic bass blend really well, and the fadeouts and melody changes make it fascinating. Very enjoyable song!

by Viraxor/The Noodlers, Dec 2024-Mar 2025

The Viraxor Trio right here.

experimenting with various chords
and techniques for a more real sound

won't be on faceless people because it
doesn't really fit with the rest.

techniques used:
* fadeouts not always being the same
(a07 works great, but you might need
   a0c or a0f somewhere. even a06)
* do NOT fade out notes completely.
leave some room after. reverb lol.
(only if you don't play a new note)
* ride in 2ch with fadeouts in between
2ch seems to be the perfect amount.
3ch is overkill, 1ch sounds bad.
* chords with a bit of EDx but not too
much, except if you wanna make impact
* if drums sound unrealistic,
make these parts more quiet (trikc)
* do not play root note with piano
just let the bass do it, otherwise
you'll limit the bass note choices
  and make ugly jarring sounds...
a chord can have 2 notes!
* multiple channels for melody and
fade out the current note TOTALLY
when a new note is played
* use dynamics as MUCH as possible.
if a certain note sounds unrealistic
  try changing its volume.

note that:
NNAs are inferior because you cannot
set an individual fadeout for each note,
which is NEEDED in order to make it sound
as real as possible. it's actually more work
and space to do NNAs.
for rides, sure. for piano, not at all.
so it's totally indifferent whether you
use XM or IT/MPTM because the only
difference are the stereo samples.
in fact I'm more for MPTM because you
can probably add some reverb to make
it sound more real + stereo samples.
