I have long aspired to work at Real World Music alongside such great musicians as Manu Katche, David Rhodes, Shankar, Youssou N'Dour and, of course, Peter Gabriel, who brought them together for the outstanding CD "Passion" which was written for the Martin Scorsese film "The Last Temptation of Christ." This song is a step in that direction; combining elements of our own music with the Eastern 12 tone scale and instruments. There is a great deal of music around the world that many of us ignore for its atonality or simplicity, when in fact used in conjunction with other more conventional styles can bring it incredible new life. If any of you have heard the passion CD you will see where the inspiration for this song originated. Because interestingly enough I finished it on the eve of the birth of the son of my friend and fellow musician Robert Allen it is named and dedicated to the family. Best of luck and good wishes to the Allen family in the years to come! -Siren (Alexander Brandon)
