This is almost like two separate pieces which have been joined together - whether you think it works or not depends on your outlook. Personally, I love it. It starts off with spacey chords and space chatter, sending you on a journey past the stars, before bringing you down to Earth with a bang... and a Caribbean percussion!! Awesome describes the reason behind his choice of genre change here, and personally I think it works well, primarily because it retains the same overall chords as the introduction. But the best part is left until the end, where we return to space, and some of the best chord sequences I've heard in a mod file - really emotional stuff. Brilliant. There is little to fault here. The introduction is inspired, and the chords and space chatter work very well together to create the appropriate mood. The transition in the tribal centre section is handled well (it could have been a disaster!), and the transition back to the final chords is excellent. The whole piece has a really professional edge to it, which like many of Awesome's pieces wouldn't sound out of place on a commercial CD.
