Has a nice idea. I'm not sure about the genre (I'm not good in determining them), but I think it's electronic, and progressive somehow.

Title:  Deliverance
Author: Peter Kasting (Zero|DPX)
        pkasting_ghs.com

This song was one of the more difficult ones I've written; I really had to
drag it out, kicking and screaming, and I think some of that shows in
places (this song has the worst key change I've ever written in it, by
far).  Repeatedly while writing this, the blocks were reordered;
what's currently the intro was copied there in order try and give
a sense of overall continuity and flow (not that it worked).

Bad points aside, this was one of my first attempts at using an acoustic
guitar sample, and while it's not exactly realistic, I like the flavor it
gives the song.  The chord sequences in this are some of my least generic
(listen to a lot of my songs and you'll realize quite a few of them just
use i-bVI-bVII), though they're not perfect (and my family members
complained the chords changed too fast to really feel comfortable with the
song).

The main bits of this song were written one summer away from home, staying
in some family friends' outbuilding, with an old Commodore 64 to entertain
me (as well as my normal computer, of course).  I had an old, noisy,
growly humidifier there too, and for some reason this song always makes me
think of it; it was a rather comforting noise, so it's a nice association
to have.

I no longer remember the significance of the title, other than that some
of the chords seemed to imply a theme of being brought out of darkness
into light.
