"Disco Fart" by Davey Flop-It with help from Dael, my girlfriend. 2m52. 10 chans. IT format (der..) 20 patterns, 25 orders, 642kB size. All samples by Davey Flop-It. Commenced Sunday 14th September 2003, Completed Wednesday 17th September 2003. Released Thursday 18th September 2003 on the Mod Archive & WWW.S3M.COM Not as dark as some of the more recent stuff i've been working on, and probably just as silly as some of the stuff i've done before and a nice hint of the mood of one or two of the upcoming Warped IV LP tracks.. maybe :P. Certainly, by most means, a straight 4/4 track but with some nice subtle tempo changes to make it a little more 'real' and unusual sounds from common instruments.. most notably, the nylon string guitar sound. My first new track in awhile, and i thought i should release something since i've been idle in the release department since the start of the year, which is quite a long time compared to my early period (1995-1997) when i was releasing things a couple of times a month on average. Granted back then it was a little lower in the quality department, but i reckon i could do it again with higher quality, even if i am working on Warped IV, busking regularly in the City or Cronulla or where ever with Scotch Tarts (me and Sarah Beattie - a Scottish violinist i met up with a couple of months ago) and also working with Fission's Opus. Anyhow, this started out as a bit of a fuckabout to show my girlfriend how i make tracks on the computer and i asked her for ideas and with a bit of humour and such, out this came, and rather quickly too. w00p! :). Emotions Gemini has been selling slowly but surely and has been on radio a couple of times, including when i came in for an interview on 2SER at the beginning of the year and it looks like i might be on 2FBi (94.5 - Sydney's newest community radio station) on a friday afternoon soon (they have open days for artists on the last friday of every month), so look out, FLOPPY'S ABOUT! :).. Btw, Scotch Tarts will be in the City Weekly newspaper Thurs 25th Sept because we were interviewed and photographed for a feature on Sydney buskers.. so check it out. It's available at train stations i'm told. Fission's Opus is putting out a single soon, so keep an ear out for it. Until then, i'm off to hump a tree. w00p! love, uncle Floppy :) (p) (c) Davey Flop-It, 2003. Emotions Gemini is still available in Australia for a strictly limited time, on tranparent blue 220g vinyl only. There will most likely be no second pressing in Australia, so get in while there's still copies. Warped IV will be out in early 2004 on (most likely) splattered brown vinyl to fit a 'surprise' concept ;P. So keep your eyes cocked and ears peeled!
