Commando ---------- Origanal Song by Rob Hubbard for the Commodore 64 game Commando. Metal Remix by Cage for Cadavers Game Music Disk. I've always liked this tune a lot and tried several times to make a good metal version of it. I failed every time. I was working on a remix of Doom Episode 1 Level 1, so when I read on the MC boards there was going to be a game music disk I wanted to submit that tune. That song was already taken so I decided I'd give Commando another go. This time, after about half an hour of traking, it sounded way better than my previous attempts so I decided to reserve this tune. It took be about a week to complete the song and I'm quite pleased with the results. This is also the first time I've used mo3, wich was necessary given a maximum filesize of 2 MB, and my own samples. These samples were my first attempts at creating a samplepack so they are probably not very useful but I think they fit quite well for the lead melody in this song. Please don't play in Winamp. It screws up the volumes. Credits: Rhythm Guitars, Bass: Cadaver Orchestral Instruments: Claymore Xylophone is from a Korg samplepack, don't know where I downloaded that anymore. Drums are from various sources, most of them probably by Claymore. Lead Guitars are by me, feel free to use if credited. If you want the complete samplepack just e-mail and I'll send it to you. I don't think they'll be of any use to the 'real' metal trackers though. Cage ----- kooybas_hotmail.com

Man, that lead guitar is heckuva REALISTIC! Also, the overall sample quality makes me ignore the fact that I'm listening to a monolithic Tracker file!
