I realised today, that
it was about time that I
remixed Ebon Virtues. I
was worried, though, that
it, being regarded by
most people who have
listened to my mods as my
best one so far, might be
difficult to remix,
whilst keeping the mod's
character.
I think that I have
done this sucessfully.
Did anyone notice that
the original version of
crimson flashlight (which
I uploaded accidently)
got accepted by the mod
archive!?! To anyone who
hasn't heard it, it is
very old, and, presumably
(so I thought) therefore
very crap. I'll have to
upload my most recent
remix (which even itself
is quite old) to see what
the reviewers think of
that. It would (for
irony's sake, probably be
rejected!).

This version of the song has a lot more to offer in terms of music. Although it's not exactly exciting, it's different. Which is better than being the same! The author also implements nice use of the instruments to create an "uplifting atmosphere." The samples are good, but still not exactly excellent. They all sound very mellow indeed. Which really gives this song it's "feel." :) At least there's more samples than the other song! :)
