   i can't help but
   to gravitate

   things will happen
   if i wait



   striving to sustain
   a structured state

   i'm drifting on,
   towards the silent
   gate


   a voice approaches,
   a featureless face

   it seems so fragile
   through the haze



   blurred and hollow,
   yet familiar in
   ways

   as it speaks of
   lazy summer days


   reluctantly looking
   back, facing my
   past

   i realize that time
   is moving fast


   and touched by the
   great big nothing

   i give in to
   emptiness at last
