D R W H O vs T H E C Y B E R M E N (M)Rated May 1997 ___________________________________________________________________________ Bit of a chat: It's 6:25pm and you're sitting in front of the family television in your pyjamas. On the TV is your favorite program full of scary monsters and high action. The Doctor is facing yet another challenge, most likely close to death, and you know what is coming next. You know it's going to happen...but you don't want it to because it'd mean the show was over for the night. What you'd be expecting is the big "woooooeeeeoooooo" winding-up sound of the closing theme. Here it is folks, as promised. I think I've reached another platau with the release of this tune and I hope you think so too! I've tried to keep it pretty close to the original tune (ie the bass line and the melody line are musically identical to the old theme) but have 'hyped' it up a bit. ENJOY! ___________________________________________________________________________ Samples: I must thank the Dr Who Wav Archive for having such cool Dr Who samples on the Net for all and sundry to download. All the Dr Who speech samples in this tune are from there... if you're interested it's at... http://www.iceworld.org/~mrogers/index.html. Most of the other samples are from my Korg 01/W synth but a few are from 'around'... if they're yours, THANKS! (I don't know where they came from) Finally... the scream sample (some of you might have picked it up) is actually from Star Wars and not Dr Who at all!... doh! The bass sample came from Tom Ellard at www.sevcom.com ___________________________________________________________________________ Hiyas: Alex A, Alex L, ASH, Blue Eyez, logos, nymn, no-brain, GeneS, Pauly W, Plague, Pulse, riders, Rusty, SilentHawk, Usman, WAVE, WingMan, Yerastica and all on #trax Special thanks to Cygnes of T-Matic. I borrowed his method of tremolo for the flanged noise...
