NORTHERN SHIMMER (6:54) by Eterman in 3.10.2000 A descendant of Shelter. Clearly. The style has a huge resemblance to that of Shelter's, but the harmony is closer to pieces such as Away or Via Remoteness (occasionally, that is). Mostly the melodies flow like nothing I've written before, which matter I consider splendid. Tried to catch some etno/fantasy/celtic folk -blend here.Mostly my own modern folk/etno/fantasy; a unique style I proudly (now I really hope I don't get misunderstood due to some terms I may use carelessly) consider my own invention (best represented in Shelter). Added some celtic influences, then. If I'm wrong and there is actually nothing particularly fresh in this style here, please let me know. I'd be very grateful to find any music similar to this in style. What I myself find of particular worth in this piece, this composition, is the unique harmony. A touch of mysticism, something strange, yet beautiful in a somewhat peculiar manner. Music with old roots, mysterious writs, forgotten phrases, lost names without meaning anymore. Questions come up. Following the quite plain themes, there still is something hidden and cryphtic. Mysteries linger after studies. The instrumental arrangement is occasionally very simple for purpose. Leaves more space to the calmly mystical atmosphere. This piece is part of my composition series closely linked with Land of Whispers. It again reveals one angle of the story, as have done both the songs "Land of Whispers" and "Shelter". Other songs are, however, yet to come. Time is the key. The elements have dwelled for centuries and created the mood which is supposed to be represented in this particular piece. A faint touch of meloncholy mixed with hope and patience. Old men from north know the tides. One day shall the torch be brought and light will be aimed. From north it arises. In Harmathia it sets. "And they shall regain what once was stolen. Gloomy winds dwell no more. Birds sing, as if they never had ceased. For rent is the veil and ceased has the gale. Thus they learn once again, and settle, as if they never had forgotten." Thanks to: Westwood (For the game Lands of Lore. The music there has had an outstanding impact on my own musical creativiness) Orson Scott Card, whose novels give a lot of inspiration. I can end this meaningless prattle with an odd method and let -Harri Kivisto eterman_writeme.com

I'm not certain about other sample authors. Some samples taken from songs by Floss, Dustbin and Welti. I consider all those trackers very skilled and worth checking out.
