This tune would be very well suited to be the intro-song of some crime-magazine, or something (The Justice Files :). It has a kinda low, gloomy sound. Reminded me slightly of the X-Files theme. With no real lead, but with a very present bass. Also, the way the orchestral samples rise and rise to that excitement-sound. Maybe it could have gotten a slightly higher rating, say 7 or 7.5, but it is only good for background music, thus I give it 6.5. But it's definately an ok tune. The author has chosen to rely solely on panning envelopes for effects, and not a whole lot of them. But it works well, although a bit more technical work could have improved the song slightly. The samples are ok, although the piano and the orchestral sample aren't tuned exactly to each other. You can hear it, even without listening for it. If a bit more work and care had just been put into this tune... ah, well....
