This tune could have been much better. There are some good melodies and counter-melodies, but no overall musical direction. It feels as if the song is building to a crescendo around 1:30, but then suddenly it drops away in a bad anticlimax. The tune is also very short - barely 2 minutes - which doesn't give it much time to develop. The main problem with this tune is that individual tracks or parts are introduced and muted again too suddenly. Two good examples are the first time the bass/snare beat enters, and the arpeggiated countermelody around 1:15. Both of these tracks simply stop in the next pattern, with no final note, echo, or other signal to the listener. Being dropped roughly like that makes the piece less entertaining. The samples overall are okay, and the bassdrum/snare beat could add a lot of energy to the tune if it was better-executed.
