This piece is soft and moody, and sets up a background. There's not much to it beyond that, but it does its job. The basics of the piece are a simple drumbeat, and an occasional nebulous panning doohickey. A simple bassline shows up intermittently, broken up by off-pitch sweeps, and... Well, there's no more to it than that. The piece may be fairly ambient and background, but it's still empty. Credit where credit is due... Hosrock kept this piece fairly compact, for its complexity. It's done with five channels, which is plenty for a piece as open and quiet as this one. The only real gripe is the panbrello on the Nebula sample, which fades far too quickly, and gets annoying about the second time it's heard. Other than that, there's not much to the tech, either... Overall, it's a quiet piece that can set the mood either relaxing or anxious, depending on the music that surrounds it. This piece is okay, but there's nothing particularly special to it.
