The effects and technical detail in this song are great. But the overall sound of the song doesn't really make it. For starters it is way too short! The only three melodies are a jazz guitar, bells and a typical jazz bass-line. The beat is quite good at the start, with a cross-stick and a ride cymbal, but it is shame that the beat didn't develop further with-in the song. The start is dragged out a fair bit with the bassline, which sounds a bit boring by itself. Then the jazz guitar comes in which makes the song sound like it's going some where. Quickly followed by the bells which are only repeated towards the end, but otherwise are on a constant variation. Which makes the song sound less repetative. Because otherwise, the song drags on over and over quite a lot in the middle. Now the artist was smart to cut the song off at 1:30, if they had not have done, this would be painfully repetative. But jazz music is generally supposed to last for 2:00 minimum, so that was a bit fo a let-down.
