This is eerie and spacey, and that's just the start of it. This piece gets into some very smooth techno indeed, with the whistling wind in the background doing just enough to add its air to the piece. Just when you start to nod off, and write off the piece as boring and repetitive, it takes a dramatic turn into something completely different, and heads toward piano techno, with a completely different chord pattern. Once the piece gets out of its initial rut, it runs along nicely. Dario shows that he really knows what he's doing, here. He's one of the few who manages to work with a canned breakbeat, and make it sound good... I couldn't tell the difference, when I first heard this. Panning is just fine, with panbrello around a point outside the center, for once. The samples work well together, and just enough reverb works in to make it worth the usage. I'd say that this is a tune that's probably not suited for repeated play for most people. Still, it's far from mediocre, and it's definitely worth listening to for some mellow techno.
