Classification: Oriental Ambient Starts off with a clear theme with a moody bass synths and some bird twittering followed with ethnical blow instruments and sequenced drums and then continues with basicly little change for another minute. This module sounds good, impressive for some perhaps, but monotonous and honestly not so exiting after a minute. In the end, the drum loop goes very clearly out of beat. The drum loop is panned very hard to the right. It does not sound good as the panning goes a bit too much to the right, it gives a sense of leaning. After one minute and around 50 seconds later I sit here and feel empty. This probably was meant as an intro song for a Demo, judging from the song name. It's not an awful tune, but it does not fit very well as a cool off tune but definitelly good for a demo. This song uses some quite OK samples and drum loops in 16-bit and 8-bit. Looking at the samples, I notice the blow instrument I mentioned before was actually an "Indian Choir". All the samples are panned quite OK, but not great. The glissando and vibrato added on the choir samples is pretty nifty but a bit exaggerated. Generally, the harmony and melody is handled quite good and in a way that is fit for this genre. On another note, the drums are clumsilly handled in contrast to the leads. It is for sure the weaker point of this module. The drum loop (on channel 5, or 4 in FastTracker, I think) is out of beat. It sounds OK as it is drenched out in the song. However, it clearly goes out of beat in the last two patterns. I do not have anything more to comment, thank you. // Eagle
