The first thing you feel about this piece is a vague annoyance at the pitchbending synth-flute. As it fills out bit, the annoyance fades a bit, but it never quite goes away... There's not enough music here to cover up the constant annoyance that runs through the piece. What CARILLION has done here is to take the easy route in music, and to create a number of channels that sound good together, and simply make the song from various combinations of tracks. The thing that makes this painfully obvious is the ending, which is just a cutoff. The synth instrument samples and quirky mood brought out memories of the original music from Lemmings, though... The author made the most of his samples, here. Considering that there wasn't much to make from them, it's passable... Except for that awful pitchbending synth in the beginning that hurts your ears even after it fades out. If this had had a bit of inspiration or some sort of modulation in it, it might have been listenable, but as it stands, you'd do better to go find someone to lick your shoulders.
