Very interesting key modulations, good sound stage.
Overall very enjoyable.

If I had anything to criticize it's that the "We are happy hippos" sample is not very good.

Funny track! One of the firts I got in Modarchive in the end of the 90's.

I really enjoy this song, even though it can be repetitive to the point of tedious, towards the end. There is a strong, insidious rhythm section which dominates throughout and stays in your head long after the song has finished. It also put me in mind of certain songs from the 80s, primarily by Coldcut. Definitely worth a listen. At 3mn36s the song could do with shortening, or the addition of more variation. The samples used are good and utilised well. The unknown tracker clearly has a lot of talent. Please Note: This song appears in the archive 3 times using 3 different file names. This review will also appear with fanta2.mod, while hippos.mod is reviewed by someone else. I elected to review this song, despite it already being reviewed, as a way of giving a contrast to the opinions about it.

The music sounds well, and the music has a good clue in it. Once you've heard the chorus you'll never get it out of your head! Maybe annoying for some people. But, the rest of the song sounds quite well. The samples are of a good quality but they're not the best I've ever heard. They're not really special. There weren't used a lot of instruments, so... But this song is worth it for downloading!
