This piece is musically stunning. Aberration takes control of a New Age piano/synth-string song, and layers a breakbeat under it, giving it an Enigma-esque feel that really highlights the high points of the music. It goes through a subtle series of chorus-verse that you don't realize as you listen the first time, because the music takes you on a mind-trip that works wonders to take away all of the frustration you might have had from listening to mediocre mods time and again. This is one of the gems in the muck-heap. It's so sad that such a great piece has such sloppy lack of technique to it. Every single sign of a beginning tracker's technics shows here: All notes plotted to the center channel, no normalization, patterns doubled instead of repeated in the order... Not one single effect was used. It's a shame to see this kind of technique matched up with this kind of music. But still, as it's been said before, technique can only make a song better... it takes a hell of a lot of fiddling to make bad technique ruin a great song. This piece puts that to the test... And it passes, with flying colors. Listen to this, and even if you don't listen as a technician, listen as a musician... You'll be pleased.
