This piece gets extra-high marks for originality... I got the distinct impression of three friends sitting down with their guitars, and just letting the music flow. There's nothing sad about the piece in the least, in fact, it's very nice and up-beat. The chord progression is one rarely used outside of new age music, and it really adds to the unique flow of the music. If you like to listen to the music of a song, you won't be disappointed here, as it keeps choosing new paths, while returning to the original theme. Just a little jam session, that yields a very nice song. The authors know what they're doing, here. They've worked from a very simple set of instruments, but they've sampled different chords for the rhythm guitar, worked up samples of different lengths for the lead and bass, and kept everything tied up nicely. They used a few effects that rarely see the light of day, though, and made them work wonderfully to sound like realistic guitar-playing. The rhythm guitar even has fret-noises squeaked in every now and then! The only points that detract are the bass, which gets overblown for the most part, and the panning, which is set hard right and left on alternating channels. Still, if you like your music acoustic and innovative, this might just be the thing for you.
