Spiral Dream by Leviathan - Ren/Kosmic A Kosmic Release Completed on 3/25/96 email: ac_interaccess.com The samples used were either original, taken from Siren or Chuck Biscuits, or unknown. Thanks to them for some great sounds. "Spiral Dream" is a bit of a deviation from my previous work, but I think it definitely turned out well. Please let me know what you think of it, and feel free to contact me at the email address listed above. Special thanks to cd for suggesting the title. Enjoy the tune.. - Leviathan - Copyright 1996 Andy Carlson

This tune blows me away. Immediately as it started, I was hooked. A great dance piece (I only use that term because of the beat), this is one to download. The techno-style flange notes are nicely done, the vocal quote at 0:16 was nice (although I only heard it once - maybe I was too into the piece to notice), and the drum track, although simple, added to the piece. The only thing that I felt was odd was that the piano sample sounded a bit sharp compared to the rest of the piece. But this is a minor complaint compared to the musical quality of the pece. This piece packs a lot into 14 channels (I like composers who don't waste channels if they can get by with less). The samples were well done and were very clean. The chord progression was nice (especially the modulations into B-minor. Modulations are scarce nowadays...), the piano part was a nice change of pace midway through the piece, and overall this was very well done. The reason I gave Tech a lower rating than Music was because there was nothing really exceptional about what was done in this category (I reserve high ratings for pioneers).
