The song opens wonderfully. The voice quotes from Star Trek are wondefully done, and truely entice you. However, it is a real letdown when the actual music starts, only to find that it is quite cheezy. Sound effects from the show were well used, but the music was something you'd hear out of an 8-bit video game. If you are a Star Trek fan, this is worthwhile to download, but don't look here for any worthwhile music if you are not. The song and its samples are clean, the chord progressions are well done, the track has a nice flow to it... So what's wrong with it? As I said above, it is cheezy, but that doesn't prevent it from having a good technique rating. Wonderful technique, but the song fails miserably because of the computerized sounds. I know techno and Star Trek both beg for computerized sounds, but it didn't work. I'd recommend trying to create a fuller sound by using more ambient sounds and instruments.
