I'm pretty sure this is a fairly old song, as it has a BBS advertisement in the song text. The song itself appears to be inspired by horror movies, but the reality of the matter is that I find it slightly less horrifying than the possibility of encountering a rogue nitrogen molecule. It just sounds empty - there's nothing going on that makes the song interesting. It's not built on any foundation. No chords, no strings, no bass, no theme lies underneath the flute lead. Add to that the fact that the flute's notes seem completely ad hoc throughout most of the song - it's like the author doesn't know where it's going. The vocal samples at the end added nothing to the song - it was dead on arrival. Boy, what a waste of channels this song made. Pattern 2 has the flute theme playing, and three channels occupied by percussion. Yes, percussion - and the percussion STILL doesn't sound very good. The author has hopefully learned to economize better since this song was released. Also, the samples sometimes switch which channel they're in between patterns. This ordinarily wouldn't be a big deal, but with a 4-channel mod, the flute ends up switching from the left speaker to the right speaker, an odd shift to say the least. The timing of the pattern skips is terrible - there's no sense of rhythm in this song.
