It may sound heretic, but I always that "little joke" was meant as a funny, folky version of "All that she wants" from Ace of Base. This mod dates from 1993 and the song was ubiquitous that same year. It would be good to hear from the author, though :-)
This is probably a remixed folk song. A great little mod with a very good melody with many tweaks. A pleasure to the ear that reminds me a bit of Tolkien-like songs. The samples sound very good for a mod from 1993, and are used excellently. The drums, bass, gitar and the lead sounds great. Nothing to stomp my feet on, except that it is far to short.

In response to Tokland, that would almost certainly be what the "little joke" is. It's hinted that something is up with that part of the song in polish in the sample name fields.
Pretty clever and fun to listen to.
