EXODUS by NORG 17/11/1998 a KKD song url:surf.to/kkd chrisvoigt_hotmail.com greetings to: ...wait for it... REdpENGUIN RavestorM Deathmuffin ObliVion fmoHT cmoHT maker of "wow-eee.gif" wow-eee, that .gif is awesome, and I don't use that word much. Technically the song's length is infinite, but hopefully not so on players (mP, W-amp, m4win, cubic etc.) on THOSE the length of the song would be 3:50 or so (it varies) But the song changes (unlike soooo many songs I know), so the uncommonly long length (for me) is justified. wow-eee: it was hard thinking up a name for this song. I consider ed calling it "in the name of the father" after that great movie with Daniel Day-Lewis in it. I was deeply affected by watching that movie. I esp- ecially liked old Giuseppe (spelling?). I believe that is pro- nounced goo-sep-eee. *sigh* but <><><><><>< this song isn't quite in the same league as that movie. Oh well. OTHER influences: -madonna's "frozen" -my old bomb "blood trillium" _____________________ A thought: why are my songs steadily fading into techno? Good old Zarathustra and THE would be disappointed with me. Oh well, maybe i'll try making something that doesn't have a *doof* in the background someday. Wow-eee...the second bank! God-damn i hate fast tracker's message capacity. *sigh* maths test tomorrow, not to mention BP. (i hate them both) *ahem* JUBIJUB BLAH BLAH HEEEATWAVE...YEH!!! now that that's out of my system...:...:...:. *S, lol, i hate them AAAAAAAAAAAAAALL! /norg perc.bassdrum5

Very pretty melodies throughout the song. Everything is very trancelike, very goa. The drums are executed professionally, and add a good rhythym without detracting from the ambience of the song. There was a quiet interlude in the middle of the song that I didn't like, but nothing's perfect. Exodus built up to a peak after that and faded into denouement without seeming disappointing - something very few songs manage to pull off. Overall a very good trance song worth a download. Some cool effects with a very low sample done near the end of the song. Good use of stereo. The piano sample was pretty good, although it got scratchy sounding at lower notes - multiple samples would have been a welcome addition. Another slight problem was the repetition of a vocal sample a few times. While the vocal sample was not really annoying, it didn't add anything to the song; it merely took away from the beautiful melodies.
