the palace in the sky (n-palace.it)

i soared through the clouds
     the sky beneath my feet
when i looked up i could see it
a majestic structure
     gleaming with blue crystal and gold
the spires were strangely twisted
     but reached so very
     high
i set down on the rock it floated on
     and approached the massive
     gates
i knocked but nobody heard
i yelled and screamed but to no avail
the gates were shut
from my mouth flowed curses
     like fire and brimstone
defeated
i rested my head on the wall
     supported by my hands
i then heard a great creaking sound
     and the gates opened a crack
stunned
i gazed upon the opening
a tiny creature with
     pointed
       ears
peeked out from behind the crack
its eyes lit up as he saw me
     for what reason I did not know
it said

     "we have been waiting.  this place belongs to you"

with that a chorus of whispers floated
     from behind the gate
and the crack became an opening
it was then that i walked through.

   somewhat weird jazz
  fission tune from the
 equally strange mind of

why fission?  because
everyone and their mom
writes jazz fusion tunes
so I thought I'd try to
be original.  it was
gods idea, blame him. :P

cryptic blood,basehead,

cataclysm and analogue.

a few of the leads in
this tune are strange and
almost dissonant, but I
love that sort of thing.

shift-f9 for more drivel
the events in the story
are reflected by all the
changes in the music.
see if you can figure
out what I was trying to
envision when I wrote
each part. :)
(the last 2 patterns do
 not have anything to do
 with this. :P)

runs for about 4:30 with
18 seconds of nonsense
at the very end.
