So, I decided that a complete re-write was in order. :) For this version, I went with an orchestral sound instead of my usual "contemplative" style that failed miserably in my first Titanic song. I also decided to write this song about the entire voyage and not just the tragic end to it. Part 1: Fanfare... The unsinkable Titanic begins her maiden voyage from Great Britain to New York City. Part 2: ...fantasy... A quiet evening several nights later, on which the moon and the ship's lights play off of the water and off of several small, nearby icebergs... Part 3: ...& fate. The unthinkable meets the unsinkable, as mankind once again discovers that we will never be perfect, no matter how hard we try... (Yes, that is the Morse code signal SOS ...---... in Part 3.) All samples ripped, with source in <brackets>. All "oddyssey" samples are from odyssey1.mod, by <Unknown>. This is musically very rich song, with nice melodies. Actually this song has three parts, or different songs; First is when glorious ship Titanic starts its first (and last)voyage, and second, when people are traveling to find their new hopes across the ocean. Final part is ofcourse the sinking. Novus has managed to describe these situations very well, and you can almost imagine yourself in the ship. This is very creative piece of work. Many artist's wouldn't have this much ideas for three great songs The samples are all 8-bit, but their still quite good. Novus has done a great job with this song, string arrangements are great and the melodies change almost all the time, so you don't get bored. Also there is a nice idea of morse coding S.O.S in the last part of the song, and it gives the song even more unique touch. This style of music is not so heard in the tracking scene, but Novus did a fine job here.
