╓───────Theme From───────╖ ║ Auf Wiedersehen Monty ║ ╙───by Liam the lemming───╜ Another great cover version of a Speccy theme tune, cos I really didn't have any better things to do. :) Everyone remembers at least one Monty Mole game - and if they don't, they're sure to know someone who does! My favourite had to be Monty On The Run (remember now? ;) ) where you had to pick five items before you started the game. If you didn't pick the right items you couldn't complete it... and everyone was asking everyone else what the right items were!!! ** Ah, those were the days... *wallows shamelessly in* *nostalgia* Unlike the other two songs sharing the Zip, this was inspired by a 128K version. The other two (Sanxion and Quazatron) were both 48K. But enough trivia. Don't forget to mail me at: cmslhes1_livjm.ac.uk ...to tell me what you think of them! Hello's to all my mates at the JMU, and Spec-chums across the globe! Don't forget to download my other modules so you can tell me what you think of them too! Bye for now! ________________ Liam the lemming ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ ** The items were the rope, jetpack, compass, bottle of rum and the passport! ;)

Remember the old Monty Mole games on the ZX Spectrum? Liam The Lemming has captured the spirit of the age with this jaunty little number. After a classic Speccy-style intro, full of intrigue, we go into a snappy disco-beat, which then changes into a minor key. This tune captures the sound of the old-skool games but without being to "chippy". The sound is smoother and of a better quality while still retaining that old charm. Makes me want to go out and buy a second hand Spectrum and get playing those games. In keeping with the style, the main lead voice samples are small, square and saw wave style samples, but here's the clever bit - the artist has created them himself from..... text files. Save the first two samples and see for yourself. The other samples have a very distinctive old-style MOD sound, but in this song it is not a bad thing. A bit repetitive after a while, but if you were playing a game to it this wouldn't matter.
