This is a pretty interesting tune! It's got some great things going for it. Some of the samples seem to sound a little subdued; but the artist uses some interesting synths in combination with other samples to get a great variety of sounds for the tune. There are several sections of the piece, which all really work together to form a great atmosphere for the tune. The melody jumps out at you in several places, and yet in others it lazilly roams about; a great contrast. This tune has several great things going for it. Partway through, the piano comes in with rolling chords; another interesting contrast. There are several interesting choices of chords used as well, some jazz voicings. On the whole, I'd say everything fits well for this kind of song. The technical side of this tune shows that the artist has a pretty good grasp on tracking. The effects are well placed, if slightly basic. The opening section uses some string/synth pads to set things up; the second set of which slide up in pitch to trade off back to the first set (which could use a similar effect to help improve things somewhat). The panning seperation seems to be effectively used. There are several complex sounding rhythms used which compliment the tune. The volume and panning envelopes are all well used. Many of the loop points for the samples were excellent, and some could have been chosen better. Overall, this is a great tune!
