Again, with piano solos, there must be a wide dynamic berth. This piece lacks that, and ultimately fails in its delivert due to that. The phrasinc is well done, however, and the melody is intriguing. Maybe a little old, but intriguing, nonetheless. The thirds should be more pronounced in the latter portion of the song, and the octave melody needs to be dropped. The closing theme is excellent, following a really well written ritard. Overall, a good attempt at a classical mod. It's a difficult style to track in, due to the amount of dynamics necessary. The panning didn't work at all. It made it sound like the piano was being rolled across the floor while it was being played. Again, there was little dynamic control, but the artist gets points for attempting to add some dynamics into the piece. Honestly, the melody was nothing extraordinary, so it all comes down to the presentation, which didn't stack up.
