The sun goes through an
11 year cycle of sunspot
activity, this year 2000
is the peak of the cycle.

Enormous sun flares spew
radiation in giant clouds
towards the rest of the
solar system.

As these giant storms
strike our planet strange
things happen.  Power
goes out, communications
are disrupted, satellites
are damaged or destroyed,
and the Aurora Borealis
becomes spectacular.

Try to see it this year
