This music catches the spirit of the "green island". Very catchy melody, and very good samples were used. Great track!

What a lovely piece of music! I love the Irish pipes and all. Definately one for my favourites list. I feel very moved by it, makes you feel so happy! Beautiful, compliments!

This mod is simply great, its combination of fast Irish accordions and pipes along with the typical riffs that signature Irish like music make this mod a wonderful piece to listen to, especially if your into this type of music. The mod also uses original melody without too many repeats, which pulls it clear away from the annoying category, which is common these days for a lot of mods i have listened to. Great! simply takes full advantage of pitch bends and accents to make the riffs stand out just as they should do with this type of music. After writing several Irish pieces of music, I certainly know when someone has gone to a lot of trouble to make the tune stand out from a crowd. The samples are good quality and are used in the correct manor in every way. This artist has a great future potential. Revisit 2007: Still one of the best there is in this genre on the archive. The entire trilogy is very much worth getting.

the Feadanaigh Epic "We are the music makers, and we are the dreamers of dreams, wandering by the lone sea-breakers, and sitting by the desolate streams." - Arthur O'Shaughnessy the Feadanaigh Epic is my long term project, which consists of three parts. + Wind on the Moors + Whistler's Bride Feadanaigh is old Eire and translates as Whistle Player ___ Wind on the Moors Close your eyes. Hear the wind on the moors. Feel the timid twilight giving just enough light to see by. The lights from the several roundhouses that form the celtic village. The feadanaigh has arrived, and the dancing will be good tonight. In this tune I search the mythical sound of Uillean and Irish low whistles. The orchestral/synthy background idea was stolen from Bob Whelan. This song consists of three kinds of parts, slow air (a bit like Irish lament), strathepy and reel. As the Air gives way to Strathepy and then Reel, more instruments join in. Strathspey is a form of Irish dance with a special rythm. It consists of two dotted eights and two sixteenths. The rythm is full of energy, yet somehow holding back until it reaches the climax, and the dance changes to Reel which runs in plain 4/4. ___ (The Riverdance influence is plainly visible. I almost feel ashamed when I compare it to 'Reel around the Sun'. anyway, no conscious copying here.) I am starting to have problems with the channel and sample size limitations of the GUS. I find myself using GUS MAX software mixing more than hardware mixing nowadays. - Vesa Norilo (a.k.a Warder) Fall 1998 mail me: warder_dlc.fi (I could squeeze time to join a group, if anybody is interested.) check my pages: http://www.dlc.fi/~warder
