-------------------- "Pure" -------------------- Artist : 6pac Date : 28 sept Read on -> I composed "Pure" on the piano about two years ago, and been wanting to write it in fasttracker ever since... At first I wanted to include grotesque drums, but in the end the song felt "right" without it. As you can see I did not use MIDI, so it was quite a tough job to recreate the sound of actually playing a piano real-time. Please let me know if I should be proud of this song or not... I would like to say hello to the following people : * Opinash, for being a great guy and a very good tracker! * Orion, also one of the gold people in the scene * Fredrik Stralberg, who might be known as "the ripper", but I think he is one of the few trackers with his heart in the right place! * Novus, who is doing a wonderful job at UT, and makes excellent music at the same time * AlexS, who is rising far beyond my tracking skills * Damien Blond * Tsec * High Tension * Artificial Intell. * AndyB * Cam Smith * Aragee * Cream * And you for taking the time to listen to "Pure". I would really like to hear from you if you like this song. "Pure" is a very well-composed piano tune, with some light flute tracks in a few places. All in all, it's a good song, but it needs something more. The flute was a good beginning, but it sound's a bit empty even with that. Probably, the song would sound entirely different with some bigger piano samples. Now the song sound like it's being played on the small keyboard at home, instead of, as it should be for a piano tune, a grand piano. There's nothing wrong with the sample quality, but they just don't reach the height the song needs. Also, we very much appreciate the author's decition not to include the grotesque drums.
