"A Song Without Words" by Porus mlad_echo-on.net This song was written for the first Syndicate Net contest. All of the guitar samples are my own. Most of the percussion samples were taken from one of Siren's songs, so thanks to him. More thanks to Nemesis, Mystic Image, and TeeCee for feedback.

The song starts with nice acoustic guitars and they are the element what lasts for the whole song. Nice melodies, nothing to complain in them. The thing what annoys me in this song is that the melodies aren't "catchy". They all are almost the same, some variations with some notes tho, but the structure is simple. Not much to say, melodically this song lacks something what I respect in tracked music. Drums are a bit too repetive aswell, not much tho. The good thing in the drums is that they actually fits this song very well. Quite good overall sound, but as I said, this song is missing something important melodically. Let's start with samples: acoustic guitarsound is exellent, but they could be used better, like adding some offset to here and there, (sorry, I don't know if s3m supports offset) that would make this lot more enjoyable to me. It's good that disorted guitars aren't used but once in this song, the sound is too rough for constant use. Drumsamples are quite good, they fits to this song. Nothing to complain in channel usage nor in pannings. Actually those pannings are very good. Overall sound is good but not exellent to me. Worth of a download still.
