libmodplug (as of version 0.8.8.4) silences a channel when S99 (sound control effect: reverb on) is applied because the reverb sound effect does not work.

If you simply delete the very first row of pattern 0, then the song will play with any player that uses libmodplug. Of course, without reverb, it isn't quite the same, but still an extraordinary song.

FYI - I am the member that wrote the original review for this song, which now appears as submitted via a placeholder account.

This indeed is a good song. I'm no musical expert, but I give it only an 7: where it excelled with good rhythm and "catchiness," it was repetitive and lacked in any challenging musical techniques.
In response to another comment which expressed a frustration with libmodplug, I use debian-distro linux and at first was unable to hear anything but a beat. However, unzipping the file, I can (or so I believe) hear the song in its full glory. Libmodplug is for the xmms sound player, but xmms died with xmms2. Try using Audacious. As far as I can tell, it has no dependency on libmodplug, though I could be mistaken. With the associated plugins, everything should work fine.

Uhhh... this doesn't work on any libmodplug players, ironically... or SchismTracker... I haven't tested it on ImpulseTracker, but I have a feeling it might not even work on that.
Honestly, this thing works better on Mikmod than any libmodplug stuff.
It works on OpenMPT but 1. I have to use Wine to run it (I use FreeBSD), as it's essentially a Windows application, and 2. that takes ages to respond.
I quite like this track, but PLEASE, PLEASE, *PLEASE* avoid using modplug extensions at all costs if you're going to release anything to modarchive!

Yes, this song really is outstanding. Perfectly well-balanced instruments (which is of good quality also), great transitions into the different parts of the song, partly thanks to the great use of effects. Wonderful melodies.

This song is warmly recommended.

this is one of best modules i have ever heard! the mix is very professional, the melodie aswell as the techniques are superb! but hey, this is not ambient at all - this is trance :D really good trance. believe me :)

Wow... another extraordinary melodic trance song by Zanoma (Marwan Green Critter). This song was well worth the wait, having been composed in 2001 and uploaded just recently in 2005. Like all of Zanoma's previous works, this song is a technical and musical masterpiece. The main melody begins immediately, which can be likened to an emotionally uplifting arpeggio. As the song progresses, more and more complexity is applied, especially when the song hits it's trance aspect versus the atmospheric opening. This part is the most striking - the melody remains identical, but is instead composed of quickly stepping harmonics, giving the song a definite pulse. Midway through the song, the song switches pace and melody, becoming pure electronic trance, building anticipation for the finale, which is a return to the original melody whilst reapplying all the previous ground covered in the song. The music rating of this song is probably more accurately an 9 due to the fact that the same melody is used throughout (which is why it is trance, I guess), which can make it lacking in repeat listenability value. The reason I put it at 10 is because I realized that this song has extraordinary potential, due to the strength of the melody and the fact that it is one of the most emotionally uplifting pieces I have found on the Mod Archive. Very rarely due you have a song that actually inspires feelings like this one. Zanoma remains in my estimation one of the most tecnically well-versed trackers in the entire modscene. This song demonstrates his volume and portamento wizardry, and is a shining example of how to track a song professionally. If the makers of ModPlug knew what he could do with their product, I am quite positive they would be proud.
