This was a song I improvised on a keyboard (specifically, a Yamaha PSS-460) during a summer thundershower a year earlier. My lease was up on my apartment (after 4 years of residency), and I got laid off at my job among 600 other people and I was contemplating what I'd do next.

Sort of a farewell song, imitating a pipe organ...except for the strings. - Maikel Yeremy
