After I touched down at Narita in 2000 and was on the line to Shinjuku station in Tokyo, this song was in my head. The lights shining at night after a rainstorm triggered it. That and Bladerunner and all of the Shadowrun I played before that moment. Thanks Basehead for giving a permanent memory of mine a soundtrack.
Very long. Little boring at first sight perhaps but very nice as background track. Nice atmosphere.

gkja reminds me that I never reviewed this exceptional song. It's very interesting that both he and I have some experience melding this song and Shadowrun--to me it's perfect. Deep, deep, and deep, this song recalls the time when electronic music was used to change the configuration of one's mind, not just make you dance, (although there's little wrong with that!)
Play this song in the background with a Rogue-like space game like Transcendence, do homework to it, or just listen to it. Each approach has its own reward.
A related note--find Chuck Biscuit's re-mix of this song. It should be in the ModArchive. Great, too, on its own merits.
