    No Need For Secrecy
    by Liam the lemming

This module started life as
a 4-channel SoundTracker
module, but I soon changed
that when I got hold of a
copy of ScreamTracker at an
FTPsite - I made use of the
extra channels and tried to
embellish it a little.

I reckon I succeeded. But
then, I'm bound to say that
aren't I?

I rewrote my SoundTracker
modules ages ago, then I
uploaded them all to a site
(ftp.brad.ac.uk) which then
had to start deleting stuff
because it was full. Damn.
Good thing I discovered two
sites from Leviathan (the
composer of Dust To Dust).

Hello's to everyone I know
at uni, especially the HND2
crew, the BMS bunch, the
law students, the freshers
- wait a minute! I've got
100 lines of space for chat
here, haven't I? Hmm, let's
do that again, shall we?

Right. Hello's to everyone
I know at uni - namely Dave
Rayner, Ian Slavin, Bryan
Jones, Lee O'Brien, Jon
Barker, Shereen Walters,
Russ Threadgold, James
Williams, Chris Bruce,
Ruth Jump, Tom Baker, Dave
Wild, Pete Mercer, Glenn
Payne, Ste Jones, Justin
Andrews, Chris Bruce, Andi
Riley, Ivan Marshall and
Dave and Arthur Goodman.
Sorry if I missed you out,
I have a lousy memory. :)

...Damn. Writer's block. :)

I suppose I could mention
why the song was written -
the inspiration behind it,
I mean. Well, it's like
this... It was originally
named The Darkest Secret. I
wrote this song when I was
on a real downer because I
was keeping a secret about
myself from all my friends.
I wanted to tell them, but
I was anxious about losing
their friendship over it.

Overanxious, as it turned
out. About a month after
writing the module, the
strain became unbearable
and I finally caved in. I
told a friend who I thought
could cope with it. He did,
of course.

Things just snowballed from
there - within a week I had
told almost all of my mates
and it felt like I'd been
rescued from a prison cell.
The relief I got from their
good reception of the news
was indescribable.

All my close friends know
now. And I'm well used to
it now - I've even got a
sense of humour about it.
So, as the song says,
there's No Need For Secrecy
now. So I can tell you, the
listener.

After all, there's nothing
wrong with being gay these
days, is there?____________
