odi et amo, quare id faciam fortasse requiris

nescio sed fieri sentio et excrucior.

                           by Gargoyle 2000

                           dedicated to Estrellita

                           my compo entry for HMC3.
                           (7th place)

                           Started July 2nd
                           Finished August 18th

This tune was originally based on the idea of creating music patterns
with beats that equal the metrics of a distichon in poetry.
It didn't work out, though. :-P Maybe next time.

Anyway I like this one. I tried to make it a bold-sounding orchestral
piece. It would have had more crossover elements if there hadn't been
those nasty HMC style restrictions... hehe

Some samples are ripped. Credits go to:

The bird sounds were downloaded from a website.

This song is dedicated to Estrellita, the girl who valiantly puts up with
 me. I love you!

The quoted verse in this song is by Gaius Valerius Catullus, one of the
most famous ancient roman poets. I came across the verses while in my
 latin course at LMU Munich.
It is about the impossibility of changing the course of fate, and about
being the slave of one's own emotions.

I kinda like this kind of poetry, though it does not mean anything
 special to me.

 Greetings to all trackers !

Good results also with ModPlug Player.

Thanks to Sir Magicman for listening to the beta.

After losing 4 matches in a row, my BB Orc team scored 3:1 on August 5th !
'Ere we go... :P
