This takes me back, this was one of the first MODs I ever had (on an ACTUAL Amiga too). After having demos on the C64 and Atari ST it converted me to Amiga demos. I liked it so much I hooked up a cassette player and recorded this (yes it was THAT long ago).
For the negative reviews I would point out this isn't just your typical dance/techno type track from the period, but it isn't a boring 'pop song' either. It has some nice eastern flavour to it and a really catchy tune, I love the melody and beat. Sure the samples sound dated but I think that adds to the charm.

Having read previous opinions
I felt the need to balance the review process regarding this piece of music.... Of course musical likes and dislikes are all a matter of personal choice....however I think that this song has been judged
very unfairly and it's many fine qualities should be noted. I therefore am writing in sincere and strong defence of it! Perhaps
sentimentality may feature in my judgement but that itself is a tribute to the worthiness of this work that it inspires such strong feelings of lasting loyalty! However even analytically I see nothing really to criticise here and only much that is deserving of fair praise... In actual fact I put this tune very close to the top of my list of all time favourite Amiga tunes....and I do that with careful consideration as someone who has been a devoted listener of music mods for very many years. I truly have a fondness for this tune that borders on adoration! Not only in a nostalgic sense - this composition still has great validity and relevance even today. I do not think that it has aged ungracefully - on the contrary it has a timelessness that guarantees its place in music mod posterity! In my judgement this is a carefully crafted work that has a sublime sense of epic scale tinged with a melancholy sadness that never fails to move me emotionally. The choice of instrumentation is totally in keeping with the mood that is being created. Artistically, aesthetically, compositionally and technically - on all levels this music works for me. I therefore for one would not alter a single note or change a single instrument!

This old module is from the year 1989.=) Pretty old I'd say. And it also sounds like it. Samples sound SO old that I got huge urges to get my amiga from the closet and start to play some sort of PD-game.=) In the year -89 this song probably was good. I personally can remember that I have played games where this kind of music played in the background. But now when you listen to it - nothing saves it. Well, at least from my point of view. And I usually am the one who really likes to listen old modules if the music itself is good. But this one is boring and sad and pathetic. Drums, strings and flute and so on. Nothing wrong actually, but somehow the artist has managed to put up a song that just doesn't work for me. Can't really tell what it is. Basically this is a simple slow pop song - nothing more. I wouldn't recommend this to anyone. No effects, 8-bit samples of course and lame in every way. I still would like to say that there is nothing special wrong in the song, but it just is not good.=) Got my point? And for some reason my XM-Play does not play this song. Big lost.=)

I listen to this song a lot, especially when I feel kinda sad. It's a beautiful module from Fred, from the Amiga days. Gotta give this 9, as it's mostly from nostalgic value.
